A New Start

A few months ago, I supported the Spectrum Circle in DC by powering an event for non-profit leaders in DC through Accelerate with Google. At this event, I met some amazing women. Two of them asked me if I had a blog. I ashamedly answered "NO", but mentioned that it was on my list of things to do. I was ashamed because blogging is one of the things I always talk about when expressing to business owners how they can increase their digital footprint, and grow their brand online. Despite the fact that I understand fully the importance and power of blogging, it seems to continue to fall off my long to-do list.

Three months later and as I make my plans and goals for 2016, I’ve decided I no longer have an excuse. This goes to a broader theme of making time for things that matter. I listened to a podcast recently about morning routines and decided that I’m going to get serious about starting my days with prayer, a 7 min workout, breakfast, my to-do list writing, and making my bed. I’ll use my blog as a way to speak write things into existence. I’m committing to a weekly post on this blog on topics ranging from entrepreneurship, technology, art, Atlanta, Jesus, family, and being a brown girl in my mid (almost late) twenties. Every opinion reflected here will be my own. If there are particular things you’d like me to write about, let me know. Can’t make any promises, but I’d like to use this as an opportunity to put information in the world people are curious about.
